    Biography

    Early Career

    Gilbert Byron was born about 1612, the youngest of seven brothers, sons of Sir John Byron and Anne Molyneux, who fought on the Royalist side for King Charles I in the civil war.[1] Unlike his older brothers (except perhaps Philip, q.v.) he was never knighted by King Charles I.
